'WAR & PEACE: VOL 2 (The Peace Disc)' ALBUM INFO:
War & Peace Volume 2 (The Peace Disc) is the second disc from the 2 disc album War & Peace. The first disc which was released in 1998 was 'The War Disc'. This album, Volume 2, The Peace Disc, was released on March 21, 2000. It went straight in at #3 on the first week of its release in Billboard Charts, and hit #1 in the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
The album starts off with Hello which features former N.W.A bandmates Dr. Dre and MC Ren. The track 'Until We Rich' features Bone Thugs' harminizing fast rapping member Krayzie Bone, and was also released as a single. The club song 'You Can Do It (Put Your Back Into It)' was then later, re-released in 2004, and was a massive UK hit, reaching #2 in the UK charts. These are just some of the great songs on the album.
The album though, wasn't promoted that well and other new artists such as Eminem and Dr. Dre's 2001 were on top of the charts, and this may be partly the reason why the track 'You Can Do It' was re-released from the album 4 years later in 2004. It took more than 5 years for Ice Cube to release his next solo album which is his album comeback 'Laugh Now, Cry Later'.
