FAT JOE LIFE TIMELINE
Fat Joe hails from the Bronx of New York. Fat Joe experienced the gritty life of the streets before parlaying his interests into a successful rap career and signing with Relativity Records and eventually Atlantic Records.
July 1993: Fat Joe's Represent album was released.
October 1993: Fat Joe topped the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart for a week with "Flow Joe."
November 1995: Fat Joe's "Jealous One's Envy" album was released (not to be confused with Fat Joe's "Jealous One's STILL Envy" album released later on in his career).
July 1998: Fat Joe released his Don Cartagena album.
October 1998: Fat Joe's album, Don Cartagena was certified gold.
December 2001: Fat Joe's "Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.)" album was released.
February 2002: Fat Joe hit the Top 40 with help from R. Kelly with "We Thuggin'." Fat Joe's "Jealous Ones Still Envy" (Jose) album was certified gold.
March 2002: Fat Joe hit the Top 40 with Ashanti on "What's Luv?" single from his "Jealous Ones Still Envy" album
April 2002: Fat Joe hit the Top 10 with "What's Luv?"
May 2002: Fat Joe topped the Billboard Top 40 Tracks chart for 2 weeks with "What's Luv?" Jealous Ones Still Envy (Jose) was certified platinum.
July 2002: Fat Joe turned himself in to authorities after being accused of assault and breaking a man's jaw.
September 2002: The video for "What's Luv?" was nominated for a MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Video.
November 2002: Fat Joe released his 5th solo album "Loyalty".
February 2003: Fat Joe could be heard on R. Kelly's LP, Chocolate Factory, with the track "Who's That." Fat Joe was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("What's Luv?" with Ashanti)
May 2003: Fat Joe could be heard on the soundtrack for 2 Fast 2 Furious with "We Ridin'."
June 2003: Fat Joe hit the Top 40 helping out Thalia with "I Want You."
July 2003: Fat Joe could be heard on the Bad Boys 2 soundtrack with the track "Girl, I'm A Bad Boy."
August 2003: Fat Joe hit the Top 10 helping out Thalia with "I Want You."
February 2005: Fat Joe hit the Top 40 helping out Jennifer Lopez with "Hold You Down" from her LP Rebirth.
June 2005: Fat Joe hit the Top 40 with Nelly with "Get It Poppin'." Fat Joe released his next LP All Or Nothing.
July 2005: Fat Joe topped the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart with All Or Nothing. Fat Joe hit the Top 10 with Nelly with "Get It Poppin'."
October 2005: The single "Get It Poppin'" was certified platinum.
December 2005: Fat Joe could be heard on The Notorious B.I.G. posthumous creation - Duets: The Final Chapter.
